I've added my wife to my account and she has a USAA #. But when she or I try to call to make her an account holder, we keep getting the run-around from USAA. Their instructions are not clear. Can I please get step by step instructions on giving my wife joint access to my USAA account?

I am sorry you have not been able to add your wife to your account. Adding a joint account holder simply requires that you sign an amendment signature card and return it to us. To get the process started, please take the following steps:

  1. Log in to usaa.com.
  2. Select the desired account on which to take action.
  3. Select I Want To ... when in the account.
  4. Select More Services.
  5. Under Services Select Add an Account Holder.
  6. Follow the prompts to add the requested Account Holder. Expectations will be set at the confirmation page.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. - Jesse
