Women Veterans Leadership and Diversity Conference

Over Veteran’s Day weekend, John DiPiero, my teammate from USAA’s Military Advocacy Group, and I had the good fortune to attend the Women Veterans Interactive Leadership & Diversity Conference  in Arlington, VA. USAA has sponsored the event for the last three years and over 150 women veterans attended the high-energy networking and educational event. 

Women Veterans Leadership and Diversity is a conference designed by women veterans for women veterans to Connect, Engage and Empower ALL women veterans and women in the military from around the nation, regardless to rank or branch of service.

John sat on a lively and engaging panel which focused on challenges Veterans face during their transition from the military. I played emcee during the first-ever “Diva and Her Dollars Financial Challenge.”  During the contest, small groups of Women Vets worked together to review the fictional scenario and provide their best money tips.  Everyone who attended was a winner.
