On the 24th of February, USAA supported the first ever San Diego USO Military Spouse/Partner Reset. The two day-long educational event focused on equipping military spouses with the tools and education to not only survive, but to thrive the many challenges of military life. As part of the program, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to deliver an hour long class on financial basics. Along with USAA’s core advice, I highlighted a number of products, services and tools that USAA offers to help make our members’ lives easier. One of the hottest issues we discussed was the new Blended Retirement System and while I encouraged everyone to take advantage of the DoD training, I also let them know that usaa.com/brs was a great resource.
