I had the opportunity to talk with fellow community manager and US Army veteran, Chad Storlie and he shares helpful tips to be successful at a career fair:

  1. Dress for The Job You Want: While the dress code in the USAA San Antonio office is business casual, plan to attend a job fair in professional and conservative business attire to help you present a professional front.
  2. Have a Plan.  Create a personal plan for the companies that you want to meet with and have a personalized cover letter and resume for each of these companies.
  3. Be Prepared to Interview.  Be ready and able to have a 30-60-minute interview with a company.  If you make a great first impression, the company may want to interview right on the spot.

You can find more great tips from Chad to ensure your career fair visit is a success here.

Do you have any tips to add to what Chad suggested above? If so, please share in the comments!

Just be shady and learn it is not about the people it is about money and you will be hired.  Break promises and learn not to communicate with departments and customers and your in!
