Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune has held an annual 4th of July concert for many years, but this year marks the second straight year that BaseFEST powered by USAA, was invited to the party, bringing an exciting musical lineup that provided something for everyone for those attending the show in person and those stationed overseas.
“After an amazing kickoff last year, bringing BaseFEST back to Camp Lejeune for a second year in a row will be a powerful celebration of America’s birthday” said Michael Dones, USAA’s assistant vice president for brand programs and sponsorship marketing. “Helping to bring top music experiences directly on base is one way for USAA to say thank you for all the sacrifices our military families make for our country.”
The event July 4th was headlined by country star Cole Swindell, with supporting acts Tyler Farr, Lindsay Ell, Ha Ha Tonka, Carlton Zeus, and Joshua K. Swensen.
Close to 30,000 Marines, families, and community members attended BaseFEST, which was capped off with an incredible firework show.
The USAA Lounge featured former Army medic Joshua K. Swensen spinning records live throughout the day, as well as free gifts for all guests, charging stations, lawn games, and shaded seating for guests to relax.
BaseFEST was a fun-filled day made even better knowing that it is an opportunity to treat the men and women in uniform and their families to a day full of FREE fun and music.
Don’t miss out on the fun and join USAA at the next BaseFEST on September 22, 2018, at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, CA.
