This year, the U.S. Navy celebrates its 245th birthday. This isn’t your stereotypical Happy Birthday Navy post filled with pictures of nuclear-powered submarines or ordinance loaded F-18s (although I do enjoy those as well). The Navy has some amazing accomplishments this year, but I wanted to take time to celebrate some of the less publicized moments in Navy life. I asked fellow Navy spouses to share memories they thought symbolized the Navy and Navy Life. I was overwhelmed with the response. To kick off the US Navy’s Birthday, I am sharing some of my favorites this month in Community.
Jessika W: First time meeting Daddy
Tricia S: Three generations on Tiger Cruise
Lynn M USS Cole Homecoming, 2013
Nicole Hansen: Homecoming
Lara P: Welcome home from the (almost) two of us.
Happy Birthday US Navy from all of us spouses. Thanks for keeping our significant others happy and for the opportunities you have afforded our families! Please share your favorite Navy photos in the comments!
