So we got in an accident in September of 2018. We were not the at fault party and our medical bills and other were supposed to be taken care of. The day after out accident, we get a call from USAA saying they just want to settle for pain and suffering, which we agreed to since they told us that this settlement was not for the car repairs or medical bills. Let me tell you, we went through a lot of trouble trying to have them to pay our medical bills and rental car to only figure out that in the end, they were using our OWN policy to pay for that when they were supposed to used the policy of the at-fault party. They paid one week of rental car when our car was in the shop for 3 weeks. We had to pay the $345 balance.

So basically, here we are, April 2019 and one of my bill went to collection because of them, when I call to talk with them, they are rude and people are giving me the goaround. Because of that, I am dealing with the collection agency and the providers since no one seems to be able to do their job properly.

USAA is a big joke. They say they are taking care of their military but the only thing they do is screwing you over. Not satisfied at all with what's happening and considering to get a lawyer to figure this mess out and get what we are owed. Don't let them fool you and first thing after a car accident, get an attorney.  -10/10 for the service and seriously considering to change of insurance company for auto insurance.

@JSC111, I am terribly sorry to hear about your experience with your USAA auto claim. I have located your information and I am escalating this to a specialist. They will look into your situation and reach out to you. Thank you.

It would be nice if they could figure out how I could get back the 46 points I lost on my credit score because of them.

WOW!   I am shocked to hear this/these statements!  In almost 40 years being a USAA member, through many life events and car issues, as a non-military member.... I have never been treated with anything but professional, caring, understanding, and conciderate treatment. Perhaps all the facts are not apperent..... ( as in Florida)  there is a "no fault" law.   Doesn't matter who was in the wrong, insurance claims are handle by individual policies.

There are more than one side/details/information to a story.... juat felt the need to give another sides'

opinion, cant think of another company I would stand up for.

Accidents happen- fault or not.....
