USAA Auto loan denied: couldn't see credit report

My request for an Auto loan was denied because USAA couldn't see my credit report.  (that's what the loan disclosure thingy said)

How can I work with USAA to either provide them the credit report, or ensure that USAA can request one for consideration?

Suggestion: enroll in the free section of Experian. You can see one of your scores there and what contributes to it. However, it's only one of about 4 types as there is one score banks use, and others for mortgage lenders use, and credit card issuers use as well. If you pay a relatively small fee for the month, more info is available. In addition you are entitled to one free report a year which you can find through Google. Full disclosure--I'm not affiliated in any way with any credit or other similar entities.  Just a retired Navy guy.

Excellent suggestions @Renegade1968! You are entitled to two free credit reports each year (once every six months). You can obtain all three by going to I hope this is helpful, have a good night! -Emily

The company is a mess. I was told I could not apply for a mortgage because I was self employed.
