Over the years I’ve been very pleased with USAA and their customer service. Until this time. Someone hit my parked vechicle. I decided to take my car to a shop out of network. I dropped my car off and picked up my rental. USAA called me on Thursday saying they will no longer pay for the rental starting Friday. I was confused because my car was still being repaired. I called back asking for an extension. A rep told me that the request was sent to management. So on Friday I still have not heard from USAA so I called back and they told me a manager has not got to my request. So the day is coming to an end and I was going to be charged for the rental if I kept it. So I asked to speak to the manager and the rep said he’s unavailable. So Monday I called back and the rep had informed me the manager chose not to extend the rental. I was out of a rental for the rest of my repair. A rep told me I should’ve drove my damaged car around until the parts came in and then asked for the rental. I thought I’d was the dumbest thin i ever heard. I won’t be recommending USAA to anyone anymore after this experience.
