My husband owns a 2004 Dodge ram that he still owes quite a bit of money on. We just got news today that the engine blew in the transmission is on the verge of blowing too. We would just like to know what would be the best option.

Yikes, @ArmyWife0406. I can imagine how frustrating that would be. There's a couple of things you can do, depending on which best meets your needs. If the loan is thru us, you can call and request to apply to refinance the loan, and include the cost of the engine and transmission. You can apply for a personal loan to get the cash needed to fix the truck. Or, we can check the estimated value for the truck, then you can look into trading it in and getting a new truck. Again, it depends on what best fits for you. You can initiate a secured chat with us to discuss these specific options. Simply click the Reach a Representative blue link in the upper right corner of your Account Summary page. Or, you can call us at 210-531-8722, to discuss the refinance option and ask any questions on the estimated value of the truck. Our representatives are available Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. CT and 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. CT Saturday. - Cathleen
