I have been stressed due to a letter discontinuing our auto insurance.
The fly in the ointment is the failure of the subsections of the insurance part of the company to share information. A comprehensive claim caused by a car caught in a flash flood became a failure to avoid a road object. That error was based on my call for a tow when my car became disabled suddenly in pitch black darkness. The error was corrected in the inspection at the repair shop. The “charged” aspect of the incident was never changed.
The net result is that we have been paying an increase in premiums for five years. And this has been cited as a cause to discontinue.
The process is now unclear, and there seems to be no one monitoring the process.
There was an immediate rebate of the deductible. Now I stew while the process unfolds.
