My husband is on file with me on USAA but I am not sure if that means he can refinance the car that is in his name with USAA. When I go to check out the refinance options USAA offers it doesnt offer to let me switch from me or my husband as the main person getting the loan.
It would not be a joint application as his credit is better than mine and currently he is the only one working while I attend nursing school.
Is it possible for my husband to refinance his car using my USAA benefits without needing me to be on the loan? This would greatly help our finances while I am in school.
Thanks for posting to the Community, MississippiDriver18. I'm happy to provide any assistance I can for you. Yes, your husband can apply for the loan under his own membership. First, he will need to register for the website under his own membership, which you established for him. He simply needs to click REGSITER at the top of the page, provide the requested information and create his own login credentials. Then, for his convenience, he may apply online by going to Products and selecting Auto Loan. Then, he'll need to enter the requested information and follow the prompts. If his online application is submitted during normal business hours of Monday-Friday 6:30am - 10:00pm, a decision will be provided within minutes. If your application is submitted after hours, weekend or holiday, a decision will be provided within 12 hours. If he has any questions, he can contact us at 210-531-8722, extension 78612. Our loan specialists are available Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. CT and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m CT. I hope this helps - Cathleen
