USAA insisted that my insurance coverage be changed to Nevada even though I am a Texas resident temporarily in Nevada. Doing so caused an increase in my insurance premiums of over $1000 a year. USAA customer service representative refused to explore this matter any further and more less just told me I was stuck with it. I have been a member for 39 years. I have gotten quotes for the exact same coverage from all major automobile insurance carriers and these quotes were approximately 50% less. Long time USAA members beware. This company does not appear to be living up to its apparently previous reputation.

There are guidelines regarding locations and what state policies are based in, which is usually determined by the amount of time a member will be in a specific location. It's usually 6 months or more. Despite this, I would be happy to review your policy with you to ensure that you are getting all applicable savings opportunities. To turn on private messages, select your profile name at the top right of the screen and select "My Settings".  From there at the top of your screen go to "Private Messenger" and "Turn on Private Messages".  After this you can select your name again from the top right of the screen and select the envelope icon to view and send your own private messages. Hello Steven, your reply indicates that in no way shape or form will you investigate why your rates are double every other major insurance company. I have shown loyalty to USAA for 39 years, but now USAA is not showing loyalty to members. USAA members I have probably only had maybe four claims with this company in 39 years and no claims within the past 20 years that were my fault. Beware USAA members, check out the competition as USAA no longer offers the quality insurance and service that it once did.
