Gieco customers won't see the credit until their policy renews, but 15% for 6 months is better than 20% for 2 months.
"On average, the credit will be $150 at renewal. This is based on the 15% credit applied to the average auto policyholder's entire 6-month policy premium of about $1,000 and generally covers more than one vehicle."
USAA members wont ever see a premium reduction. My daughter called me two weeks ago and said she got a letter from USAA increasing her rate upon renewal 23.5% with no claims or tickets. Guess they just have to recoup the dividend they paid and increase the bonus for the "industry professionals" that deny claims and boot long time members.
"Geico also announced it would provide a 15% credit to auto and motorcycle policyholders when their policy comes up for renewal between April 8 and October 7, 2020." - quoted from CBS news. Please note this does NOT say 15% for every month but indicates 15% for the entire 6 months.
