VA benefits for Vietnam Era Vets

VA benefits for Vietnam Era Vets

I recently attempted to gain medical benefits from the VA and was denied because I make over 32K per year in retirement. I served honorably for three full years from 1967-70. If this is a criteria for denial, then the generous award for service by a grateful Congress has become another social program for the poor. This seems to affect only Vietnam Era vets. Has anyone else experienced this denial?

I believe that when you entered the military (no matter what branch of service) You signed a contract which entitled you to the GI bill that was in place at that time!!! That being said, you are still entitled to VA medical care except dental. The only thing is that you will have a co-pay!!! DO NOT LET THEM JERK YOU AROUND!!! They tried to pull the same stuff with me Best of luck, and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE "we are brothers"
