I opened a youth spending account with an ATM/Debit card for a 15 year old and he can not log into the usaa app because he does not have his phone linked to his account

Hello @ confuz ed, Thank you for reaching out with your question. The first step would be to update the parental controls. This will allow the 15 yr old to use the Mobile App. Here is what you must do first. 

  1. Log on to usaa.com.
  2. Select the Yellow arrow next to the your name (upper right hand side of the page).
  3. Select Profile & Preferences.
  4. Select Edit next to Parental Controls.
  5. Select Change Settings.
  6. Make any necessary changes.
  7. Select Next.
  8. Select the box "I certify that I have read and I understand the documents linked below."
  9. Select Submit.

Now if you have already done that or if you have now completed that, they should be able to download the app on their phone. They do have limited things that they can do but once they get on the app they can explore what they have or don't have access to do until they are 18.
