I don't understand why USAA would change from a program that was working to a stupid program like Zelle. Half of the military is overseas and now we can't send money to our stateside family/friends because we don't have a stateside phone number? What gives? slowly but surely they are working to lose my family as members.


K_N I understand how this can be frustrating. While Zelle allows members to transfer between USAA and external banks, we still provide the Transfer Funds option. With Transfer Funds, you are able to setup your family/friends accounts as a transfer account. This service remains free of charge and more information can be found online under the My Tools section.
