Since we notified USAA of my dad's passing, he has been removed joint bank accounts. We've received a couple checks in the mail made out to him solely since his passing.

Are we able to successfully deposit the checks to a previously joint account that he was removed from after we submitted USAA with a death certificate?

@Krys2017, Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. If I understand correctly, your father's name was removed from joint bank accounts after his passing. Any checks made payable to your father should be handled by the executor. The executor can endorse the check as follows: "Pay to the order of (executor) by (executor), personal representative of the Estate of (deceased)". ~DC
