Hello @Chuck321, you are able to do a preauthorization online before you make this purchase or by calling us at 800-531-8722. To do this online, please follow these steps.

From My USAA page:

1. Select the credit card account.
2. From the I Want To section, select More Services.
3. From the Card Services section, select Notify USAA of a Large Purchase.
4. Follow the prompts to notify USAA of a large purchase.
