@Kel07, USAA is exploring options to assist affected members. For more information, please visit: http://usaa.us/2EYXAuy. Thank you! -Cynthia

Afternoon,

I have been trying to find an answer to this question and the link y’all provide for information in many strings does not work, comes back as access denied? Is there a definitive yes or no?

@Redtj, Appreciate your patience, since the link was not working would like to see if you can proceed with the following. On the website please select search (on the far right side) entering Government Shutdown. As soon as we know more information, we will let our members know. -Lori

Thanks for the reply, but that option only gives us more of the same broken link and non-information.  Navy Federal came out pretty quickly with information for it's members, including Coast Guard https://www.navyfederal.org/about/government-shutdown.php

Switching to Navy Federal. USAA non-responsive, or unable/willing to assist.

I amy be switching as well after over 20 years of membership.  From the link provided at several answered questions:

"To be eligible for this loan, you must be a member of the Coast Guard or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps. Retirees and members separated from the Coast Guard or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps are not eligible for this special loan."

To me, as a veteran and federal employee, this is unacceptable.
