I'm getting married in a couple weeks and I want to add my husband-to-be to my accounts. However, he is not a USAA member. Does he have to be for us to have joint accounts and, if so, how do I do that?

Congrats on the upcoming wedding Christine! To better help you was there specific accounts you were wanting to be listed as a joint account ?   ~Joseph

We were going to do both checking and savings as a joint account. I believe I figured out in my profile how to add someone to an account to make a "joint" account, however it asked for a member number and they are not a member.

@chrissard - You'll need to add your fiance to your family list, first. To do this, simply click on your name at the top of the page, then click Profile and Preferences. Once there, click on Add Family Member from the right hand side. Once he's listed as your fiance, you'll be able to complete the process to add him to the accounts. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. - Cathleen

Great! Thank you so much.
