I appreciate the person's tongue-in-cheek rendition of the same scenario I have experienced many times. There has to be a better way!

I would rather recieve the fraud alerts and know what is happening with my accounts than have identity theft or actually have fraud occur, especially since this Target scandal. Yes it may be a hassle. Yes it may be annoying, but it's in place for a reason. Did you ask USAA whether they placed those alerts on there due to the fact that maybe there have been certain issues at those stores that now they consider them a high risk for consumers? Definitely weigh the pros vs. the cons. You decide which is more important. I'm proud to be a member of USAA and happy with what they offer. My other question is have you also accessed your online account to see what settings for security and alerts you have set for you accounts. You may want to check those out as it may be a simple fix from that. Human error does happen.

How would I know if my card was declined for this reason or not? I have a new USAA credit card that was recently activated and it all of the sudden declined on me today and I don't know why.
